The gift of giving is the divine strength or ability to produce wealth and give offerings for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God on earth.
I like this definition becauses its focus is on the eternal Kingdom of God not solely secular programs. The apostles set a great example in this area in Acts 6. They gave the responsibility of running a “soup kitchen” to godly men while they continued preaching and praying. Where did the “soup” come from? From people who had the gift of giving; time, talent, facilities, ingredient and money.
Do you have the gift of giving? Then give.
Are you unable to give? Then lend a hand and help “clean the kitchen.”
Whatever you are doing, please do it joyfully to advance God’s Kingdom.
